Montgomery Humane Society and Montgomery Subaru Partner to “Share the Love” and Find Forever Homes for Montgomery’s Homeless Pets

An estimated 70 percent of Subaru Owners Have Pets; More than Any Other Auto Manufacturer

Montgomery Humane Society will join the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) and Subaru of America for Subaru’s annual year-end “Share the Love” campaign and celebration which kicks off November 21, 2012 and runs through January 2, 2013. As part of this national effort, Montgomery Humane Society and Montgomery Subaru have teamed up to have on-site adoptions at the Montgomery Humane Society.

“Share the Love” gives new car buyers and leasees the opportunity to donate $250 to one of five charities – including the ASPCA. One hundred percent of the ASPCA’s “Share the Love” donation is targeted for distribution as grants to animal welfare organizations in all 50 states and Montgomery Humane Society is pleased to be a recipient of one of these grants.

“Private donations have decreased in the past year due to the result of the economy, which limits the level of veterinarian treatment for our homeless animals. With this grant we are able to continue with the quality care that all pets deserve” said Steven Tears, Executive Director.
