How Do I Foster an MHS Pet?

Complete this application if you are interested in applying to become a Traditional Foster Parent, a Foster With Intent to Adopt parent or a Foster Medical parent.

1.  Begin the foster process by completing an Online Foster Application.

2.  Upon approval, an Adoptions Counselor will contact you to make an appointment to meet your potential foster pet.

3.  If you decide to move forward, the Adoptions Counselor will help you complete the Final Foster Paperwork, and you will be ready to take your new foster pet home.*

4.  For more information regarding the Foster process, you may call our Adoption Center at 334-409-0622, option 2 or email adoptions@montgomeryhumane.com.

*Puppies and kittens that are not spayed/neutered are available to Montgomery City and County residents only since the shelter needs to maintain jurisdiction over these animals until they are spayed/neutered.
